The right backup software saved my sanity

As someone who uses a computer many hours a day every day of the week in my real estate business, I have learned the devastation of having the device go down. If you haven’t had it happen to you, rest assured that it’s as likely as ice cream dripping down a cone and tornadoes mutilating trailer parks.

My computer shut down twice in the last two weeks, once with a frightening little boom and the odor of electrical fire.  It turns out I needed only to replace the power unit, but the trauma forced me to call a tech.  It also gave me a headache.  The second event made it impossible to boot beyond the second black screen, no matter what I did.

Wouldn’t you know each shutdown was one or two days before the deadline for my biweekly newsletter, Realty Digest..  What preserved me from the amount of sanity I still can claim was miraculous software that I purchased for something under $50 last year. Continue reading
