The estate auction of two co-ops and eight houses in Queens is to take place on Dec. 12.
Queens Public Administrator Lois Rosenblatt scheduled the auction of properties ranging in price between $100,000 and $600,000 in neighborhoods including Long Island City, Jamaica and Jackson Heights.
Below are the residences headed for the auction block, though often some are withdrawn before the event:
|Estate Name||Address||Upset Price|
|Madeleine Burton||7-45 84th St., Apt. 41
|Alan I. Gotlieb||90-11 Northern Blvd., Apt. 211
|Leah/Ilene Roth||70-20 108th St., Apt. 10E
|Carol/Lorena Austin||114-16 210th St.
|Marian Cummings||37-38 58th St.
|Bernard Long, Shirley Pinckney||
107-31 156th St.
|Vivianne McFarland||94-15 85th Ave.
|Vivian Rutledge||119-35 Inwood St.
|Juana Silhy||34-44 33rd St.
Long Island City
|Joseph Stuart||225-30 Mentone Ave.
Inspections will be permitted Dec. 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
These are all-cash transactions that must be settled within 30 days of the auction. However, successful bidders for co-ops can take comfort in knowing that a board’s rejection would nullify the sale contract and result in the deposit’s return.
As usual, you need a certified check payable to you equal to 10 percent of the upset price in order to bid. Also, you must offer bids in person.
The public administrator’s Web site contains additional details. You also can trying calling Rosenblatt’s office at 718-520-3710 for more information.
The sale is to begin at 11 a.m. in Room 62 of 88-11 Sutphin Blvd. in Jamaica, according to the administrator’s office.
