Queens administrator to auction off 18 properties

Queens Public Administrator Lois Rosenblatt has scheduled the estate auction of 13 houses and five co-operative apartments for June 13.

Included in the auction are properties in Little Neck, Westhampton and Monticello.

Minimum (upset) prices, which are set by Rosenblatt at 25 percent below the appraised value, range from $64,000 for an apartment in Jackson Heights to $675,000 for a house in Long Island City that was withdrawn prior to the administrator’s sales in December and March.

The houses may be inspected June 9 and 10 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  As for the co-ops, you must make an appointment to see them within the same time periods.

These are all-cash transactions that must be settled within 30 days.

As usual, you need a certified check payable to you equal to 10 percent of the upset (minimum) price in order to bid.  Also, you must offer bids in person.

The sale is to take place at 11 a.m. in Room 62 of 88-11 Sutphin Blvd. in Jamaica, according to the administrator’s office.
